New Perspective to Medical Education

Being humans, it is not unusual for change to change us. The change is sometimes so overwhelming that one almost could shout "Stop, world, I want to get off!" There is however, almost no such similarities when it comes to medical education. A lot of medical professionals are stuck to textbooks; which we know contain information that are obsolete for purpose by the time they are published. Don't get me wrong. A lot of the information in textbooks are relevant. However, a significant proportion of these information are not.

Reasons for Medical Education Resource

There is thus a need for a paradigm shift for medical professionals to adjust the way they keep up to date with information in order to benefit the dynamic society. Some of the reasons for regular updates of current knowledge is given below:

1. The patients and public deserve more

2.The public has invested into medical education and should get the dividends thereof,

3. There are lots of free materials out there for medical updates and very cheap and affordable ones,

4. You need to keep your licence to practice fresh and regularly updated,

5. Professionalism demands that you are current.

provide uptodate information to medical professionals,

educating the public with regards to best practices for their health,

promote early engagements with health professionals with the public via chat programmes and or apps
